MEET HAMDI + SARAH
For the past two years we've been honored to platform shark designs created along with talented Palestinian artist, Hamdi Zaino. It's important to us that we do our part to ensure we're helping Hamdi in the best way possible. That's why we're taking a pause from the Hamdi x Sphyrnas collection beginning 2026.
We want people to understand that while creating 'merch' and donating the proceeds is great- direct donations remain the BEST way to help people + planet. That's why we are focusing on promoting Hamdi's digital offerings like his custom digital portraits and e-book. The creation of a physical item(s) takes away money that's sorely needed by Hamdi and creates more potental for waste (overstock, extra materials waste, shipping + emissions, etc.)
Hamdi's art has helped bring awareness to the ongoing genocide in Gaza as well as showcase shark species that frequent the waters off Palestine- like Great White, Blue and Smooth Hammerhead sharks. Through our continued collaboration with Hamdi, we work together to underscore the undeniable link between people and our shared planet. That the same hate, same exploitation, same violent systems that harm human beings also have a lasting and devestating impact on everything else- sharks included.
